Noa Mick
Saxophonist Noa Mick is a distinguished artist known for her innovative contributions to contemporary music. Through her interdisciplinary collaborations with prominent composers, she brings fresh interpretations to both classical and modern repertoires, offering audiences immersive musical experiences.
Her work is characterized by a strong commitment to classical and contemporary music, with a particular focus on creating new works in collaboration with composers such as Frank Bedrossian, Peter Ablinger, Chaya Czernowin, Jean-Pierre Drouet, and Georges Aperghis. Noa has performed as both a soloist and chamber musician at numerous prestigious venues and festivals in France, Switzerland, Germany, Croatia, Poland, Austria, Cyprus, Israel, Italy, Spain, Estonia, Greece, Luxembourg, and Belgium.
Noa collaborates with leading music ensembles such as the Ulysses Ensemble (France), Linea Ensemble (France), Meitar Ensemble (Israel), Adapter Ensemble (Germany), NeuverBand Ensemble (Switzerland), and Nolimit Orchestra (France), as well as with orchestras such as the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, Kammerorchester Basel and Luxembourg Philharmonic Orchestra. She is a founding member of several prominent ensembles on the international music scene, including Klanglab (a free improvisation collective), the transdisciplinary Duo Alto with flutist Anat Nazarathy, the interdisciplinary Collectif LMC X-1, and the classical and contemporary saxophone quartet Ensemble du Bout du Monde.
Noa earned her Bachelor’s degree in saxophone performance from the Pôle Supérieur d’Enseignement Artistique (PSPBB) at Sorbonne University in Paris in 2016. She subsequently completed dual Master’s degrees in saxophone performance and pedagogy at the Academy of Music in Basel, Switzerland, in 2019.
Since 2021, Noa has been based in Strasbourg, where she serves as a faculty member at the Conservatoire de Sarreguemines. She is also an endorsed artist for Henri Selmer Paris.
